Results of the second day games: After a close defeat in thefirst game against Slovakia (50-54), yesterday the girls showed a great team effort against Belgium and scored their first win in the Dussmann Trophy 2013 with 49-41!
The win is even more precious as Belgium, as well as the other 2 teams, are playing in the first European division and have been 4th (Belgium), 5th (France) resp. 8th (Slovakia) in last years standing in Europe. The Luxembourgish team (Division B) took a huge step and showed they can compete with such strong teams.
Today the team will face the unbeated team of France at 19h15 in Mersch (GSH/free entrance). With the support of the fans the team of Thierry Kremer can clinch the first spot with a win over France. At 17h00 Slovakia will face Belgium. France-Belgium: 63-46 (14-10; 12-14; 16-16; 8-19)
Slovakia-Luxembourg: 54-50 (18-12; 15-14; 17-14; 4-10)
